Man self-immolates near Japan Embassy amid Seoul-Tokyo spat

South Korean police say a man has set himself ablaze before the Japanese Government office in Seoul in the midst of rising exchange questions among Seoul and Tokyo.

Police state the man in his 70s lighted a flame inside his vehicle left before a structure where the Japanese Government office is housed on Friday.

Police state the man was taken to an emergency clinic yet didn't give the status of his condition.

Media reports state he is unconscious.

The rationale in his activity wasn't promptly known. Yet, it comes as ties among Seoul and Tokyo have dove to their absolute bottom since Japan as of late fixed fare controls of some innovative materials.

Police state speculated combustible materials were found in the man's vehicle. —AP
