Online fraud: 2 held from Jharkhand

The Baddi police achieved major success on Saturday by solving two cases of online fraud by arresting two persons from Jharkhand.
Accused Mukhtar Ansari and Abdul Saleem, were being brought to Baddi by securing their transit remand from a Jharkhand court.
SP, Baddi, Rohit Malpani, said: “For the first time, the BBN police have successfully raided the hideouts of the accused.” The other accused Abdul Salim had telephonically called victim Jitender Sharma of Kailash Vihar, Baddi, posing as a bank manager, where he sought the details of his ATM card and its pin, after which he withdrew Rs48,000 from his account in February this year.
Sharma had made a rail reservation through his online account, which did not mature, but when he inquired, he was conveyed that he would get the refund. Instead of getting the refund, he received a call from Abdul Salim, who had cleverly sought his bank account details and withdrawn Rs48,000 from it.
Ansari had withdrawn of Rs50,000 from the account of another Baddi resident.
