Pirates attack Korean cargo ship near Singapore Strait: Yonhap
Seoul/Singapore, July 22
Pirates assaulted a South Korean-hailed freight ship close to the Singapore Strait right off the bat Monday, striking the team and grabbing a huge number of dollars in real money, Korea’s Yonhap news organization said.
Singapore police, who deal with the island nation’s coastguard, did not remark promptly on the incident.
Piracy has fallen in the bustling ocean path that keeps running past Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia lately in the midst of heavier policing.
However, the Yonhap report said seven privateers on a speedboat assaulted the CK BlueBell before day break, leaving some team with minor wounds. Reuters
