Angry over son not getting govt job, man sets himself afire during Khattar’s Yatra

A 42-year-old man set himself on fire near Rathdhana village of Sonepat district during the 'Jan Ashirvaad Yatra' of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday.

The man has been identified as Rajesh of Rathdhana village. He set the fire by pouring kerosene oil on himself and has suffered 80 per cent burns.

Rajesh ran towards the CM's ‘rath’ after setting himself afire but some people managed to get hold of him. 

Three people also sustained burn injuries in the incident and have been identified as Mukesh of Rathdhana village, Chand of Bega village and Raghubir of Kailana village.

All of them were rushed to the General hospital at Sonepat immediately, where doctors referred Rajesh to Bhagat Phool Singh Medical College at Khanpur due to his critical condition.

According to sources, Rajesh was disgruntled with the BJP government for not providing a government job to his son.
